And I now discovered that there is no need to roll the meatballs. Last night I just scooped them out with a 1/4tsp measuring spoon. Much faster and I can't tell the difference.

I must admit that I like it bland. I just like the full tomato flavour and I only ever flavour my meatballs with salt and pepper too. Maybe it's a European taste? And I usually add half a cup of pasta...
